Good Morning Everyone,

Below is my summary from the facility yesterday. Thank you again to all of the Tide Wind team!

INEOS Plant Summary

INEOS is a plant located in Deer Park, TX that concentrates in the production of ethylene and propylene (plastics).  In this is the Solar division which involves the power plant equipment that is the output for steam and electricity for the plant's production.   Yesterday, I was able to tour the facility with our group from Tide Wind Energy and one of the plant supervisors, Jay Dee Dodson.  This personal tour was a great opportunity for our company to see the kind of turbine, computer and safety equipment that will be used in our own facility in the Cogen Power Plant in Port Arthur, TX.  We viewed the water distillation process and piping, which is a wonderful asset to our project, due to the fact that each turbine can produce up to 600,000 lbs. of steam energy, which plan to be used in additional cold storage facilities on site.

I am pleased that I was able to be a part of the tour, as this equipment is a vital part of the project, and Tide Wind's alternative energy plans.  It is estimated that the Cogen plant will have a total of five turbines that will be used to generate the city of Port Arthur's power needs. This was a successful step towards the physical growth of the company and I look forward to our future endeavors together.

Clean Energy, Renewable Energy Plant

Clean, Green, Renewable Energy Plant Proposed for
Port Drum Brownfield
Port Arthur Council Approves Resolution to Support Co-Gen Project for the City

Port Arthur, TX (July 17, 2009) – On July 14, against a backdrop of ever increasing concern about global climate change, growing demand for and the rising costs of energy, the Port Arthur City Council took a giant step for its citizens. In passing a Resolution pertaining to the development of alternative energy sources, the Council is seeking to reinvent the City’s energy future.

“How fitting it is for Port Arthur, which has had a major impact on the global oil and gas markets, to take a lead role in the development of alternative energy options,” said Mayor Bobbie Prince. With the Mayor’s lead, City leaders gave approval for Tide Wind Alliance Corporation (Tide Wind), a local company, to begin feasibility explorations for the construction and operation of a Co-Gen plant in Port Arthur.

Tide Wind proposes to develop a 50MW Co-Gen plant for the city to provide power to all municipal-owned facilities. According to Tide Wind president and CEO Lael Alexander, “The power produced at the plant will reduce the city’s overall energy costs.” In addition, Tide Wind will seek to negotiate the sale of excess energy back to Entergy, the local energy provider, at no cost to Port Arthur taxpayers.

"City staff and I believe the entire city council and Port Arthur 4A EDC Board would strongly support this project based on the jobs created and the other economic development opportunities this project would create," said Port Arthur city manager Steve Fitzgibbons.

“We are excited to develop the first project here in Port Arthur,” said Alexander. Our Municipal Energy Reliability Program helps provide the foundation and infrastructure needed for cities to move closer to a newer cleaner energy reliability standard.”
Tide Wind will serve as project manager for the project and will use Build America Bonds (BABs) as the financial instrument for raising the necessary capital. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act signed by President Obama in February of this year made BABs possible. Under the program, State and local governments can sell an unlimited amount of taxable BABs in 2009 and 2010.

Port Drum, formerly the location of a company that chemically cleaned 55-gallon storage drums, is the proposed site of the first Co-Gen plant in Port Arthur. The Port Drum project will create the need for approximately 85-120 construction jobs and 30 permanent operations jobs and the necessary training. Mayor Bobbie Prince is excited about the jobs and the catalytic potential the project has to spur further economic development. “With the unemployment rate currently at 13.3% in Port Arthur, we need employment opportunities for our citizens,” said Mayor Prince. “The Tide Wind opportunity is one the council welcomes.”

Councilman Beard said," We want to try to make sure we are conservative. Utilize the resources we need, not be wasteful, save money and make Port Arthur greener all at the same time."

About Tide Wind Alliance Corporation
Tide Wind Alliance Corporation is a developer of alternative energy production plants. The company, based in ¬Port Arthur, also has offices in Fort Worth, Texas. Port Drum is the first CHP Plant pressed into service outside its traditional industrial use.

Tide Wind is a concept of founder and CEO Lael Alexander, an entrepreneur whose interest in alternative technology development evolved during his years of working in the oil and gas industry. Alexander’s company PREMARC (Plan Resource Execute Monitor Audit Report Control) Turnkey Systems, established in 2007, focuses on project management and engineering for major industrial expansion projects. The company specializes in project costs controls, systems auditing, planning and scheduling, pipe and structural design, and quality control. Pursing opportunities to provide services to the industry spawned the company’s transition into the Texas markets of Port Arthur and Beaumont. “PREMARC is not just our name,” said Alexander, “it is our approach to your projects.”

Turbines Technology Continues to Astonish the Masses!

The world’s largest wind turbine is now the Enercon E-126. This turbine has a rotor diameter of 126 meters (413 feet). The E-126 is a more sophisticated version of the E-112, formerly the world’s largest wind turbine and rated at 6 megawatts. This new turbine is officially rated at 6 megawatts too, but will most likely produce 7+ megawatts (or 20 million kilowatt hours per year). That’s enough to power about 5,000 households of four in Europe. A quick US calculation would be 938 kwh per home per month, 12 months, that’s 11,256 kwh per year per house. That’s 1776 American homes on one wind turbine.

The E-126]… has no gearbox attaching the turbine blades to the generator, in fact, the generator is housed just at the widest part of the nose cone, it takes up the entire width of the nacelle to generate power more efficiently, and provide longer service life with less wear.

The turbine being installed in Emden, Germany by Enercon. They will be testing several types of storage systems in combination with the multi-megawatt wind turbines.

These turbines are equipped with a number of new features: an optimized blade design with a spoiler extending down to the hub, and a pre-cast concrete base. Due to the elevated hub height and the new blade profile, the performance of the E-126 is expected to by far surpass that of the E-112.

Tide Wind Energy Write In by John Smith

Dear Ms. Winfrey,
I do have a great idea for a show, about a topic I feel passionately about, and about a person you would like to interview either on or off the show. The topic is about a unique approach to green renewable energy. The person is a man I met in my neighborhood. His name is Lael A. Alexander. His phone number is 985-510-1927 and his email is laelalexander@yahoo.com. He is an African American who moved to my neighborhood from Louisiana approximately 9 months ago. He presently has a company with some software that helps in product management at refineries. Mr. Alexander has researched and engineered a process for dealing with the energy situation facing the U.S. and the world today that utilizes idled equipment, assists is riding the enviroment of CO2 emissions, provides jobs, produces energy, and produces carbon credits for polluters. His designs are directed at both commercial and residential markets. His plans would also assist powering the school system and they include approaches to energy production that have not been considered, or at least there is no evidence of any consideration. My background is more in business and finance and Lael and I have had discussions concerning this. As I am sure you know, the financial markets today are not conducive to raising capitol. However, the energy outlook and the political enviroment are very supportive for the ideas he has discussed with me. Mr. Alexander is an honest and fair young man with a wife and 6 children. I have explained to him that if he presents his ideas to the Pickens of the world, his dreams might become someone elses dreams. This man could use some help both in finance and in the political world, in taking his ideas to market. Lael has hinted of his ideas to a refinery in the Port Arthur area and they want to take the whole thing and make it their project. I took him up to Calpine, an energy trading company here in Houston, and the traders liked his approach. At present, he is working on the patents and the expense thereof, so that he may more freely go forward with his concept which would again benefit the U.S., the world, the enviroment, the newly elected administration, the ecomomy, and just in general aiding in the transition from fossil fuel generation of energy to a cleaner greener energy generation. I know that my letter may create more questions than answers and my hope is that it would create enough curosity to encourage you to contact Lael. Perhaps it would benefit the Oprah Winfrey Show or some other aspect of the Oprah enterprise.I have only had contact with one person to ever be invited to be on the Oprah Winfrey Show. That was Kay Slack who was chosen as one of the teachers of the year. She is a teacher at Dulles High School. I can truly say that her review of the show and yourself was stellar. Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself and for the opportunity to write this letter on behalf of Mr. Alexander.
